This book was designed to highlight the history of prohibition, telling its story through the lens of the cocktails that were created at the time. One focus was using the sequential format of a book to communicate the particular sequence of this historical event. The design utilizes a consistent grid to create hierarchy as well as movement and visual interest. The book tells the story with both historical information about Prohibition as well as the cocktails conceived therein. In addition to the book’s design, all writing and photography was done by myself as well.
